I made an experimental Ice cream-shaped board called Vanilla Ice back in 2018. I have tested it and it was a pretty nice board to ride on groomers and in pow. However, I had a feeling the tail in powder was slowing me down (acting like an anchor)
When we got a request for an Ice Cream shaped board from Japan we took those remarks into consideration. We have shortened the stick (lengthen the ice cream body from inserts towards the tail) to eliminate the anchoring problem.
We also narrowed the design to fit customer's boot size.
Graphical design was a customer idea.
The board is fully wrapped in steel edge. It is made out of paulownia/poplar/beech woodcore and has V-shaped carbon stringers in the nose for torsional stability and a single stringer in the tail for pop and durability.
