Once again, Moonchild were delighted to be sharing our unique custom snowboards at the world's premier powder board testing event – the Snowboard Shaper Summit – held in Jackson Hole, USA.
This annual gathering brings together the snowboard industry's best shapers, designers and pow shredders, and provides a rare opportunity to test-ride the most innovative, interesting snowboards out there.
A mix of well-known, established brands rub shoulders with the up-and-coming snowboard disruptors, like Moonchild, who were represented by Mount Baker Hardcore legend: Jeff Fulton, along with his wife – Angie – who shared our quiver of boards including the board that Whitelines Magazine have put in their Top 100 two years in a row, the Malibu, as well as the Live Wire MBHC, Space Racer, and Moonchild's women-specific snowboards: the Friday and Holiday.
In addition to testing riding boards, the Shaper's Summit hosts 'SHREDtalks' – a series of presentations by innovators, inventors, designers and artists who share their stories about snowboarding culture and history.
Previous presenters include Jeff Grell – inventor of the high back binding, Ana Van Pelt who spoke about zero-waste snowboarding manufacturing, and 'queen of the hill' Julie Zell, a pioneer of woman's snowboarding.
A big thanks to everyone who took a ride on a Moonchild board, please do let us know what you thought.
