Description

Live Wire / MBHC (Mount Baker Hard Core) edition comes in two graphic options for the 2024/25 season.

1/ Road to Mt. Baker, features art by the PNW artist Kris Ley.

2/ Classic white top with the original MBHC skull / raven logo, designed by Norman Roque.

Live Wire is a directional freeride board targeted to please the advanced-level snowboarder. V-carbon stringers at nose and tail to increase the edge-to-edge response, combined with a middle carbon stringer to add snap to the turns and ollies.

This board offers a blend of stability and float in the powder with the power and response needed on groomers.

It will rip or rip you apart,,,,,, it all depends on you!

Jeff Fulton is one of the most legendary living snowboarders today. He was among the first to ride at Mt. Baker – perhaps the very first. He introduced Craig Kelly to the sport, helped start the Mt. Baker Banked Slalom and is the founder of the Mount Baker Hard Core crew  - MBHC.

We are offering a 15% off pre-order deal on both graphics until August 1st.

The "Road to Mt. Baker" will be ready for shipping in late October, while the "Classic MBHC " is already in stock for the US customers.

Retail price North America: $699 USD - Pre-order deal: $595 USD

FAQ

Where can I buy a Moonchild snowboard?

All products can be purchased through our online store. We don't work with distributors, retailers or physical stores for now.

Are Moonchild snowboards only designed for powder?

All our directional models are designed with powder in mind, however we have also designed them to hold a good carve on the groomers. Our Twin models are made for more resort riding....jumps, snowpark, carving, cruzing, jibs.

Where can I demo Moonchild Snowboards?

We don't offer Demo days at the moment, but if you´re living in Washington, Montana or Slovenia there is a chance for you to test some boards. You can get in contact with Jerry Wesley (Mt. Baker, WA), Jake Nelson (White Fish, MT) or Jure Sodja (Slovenia) and they will help you out.

We are working on a Demo tour for the U.S and European resorts for next season.

We recommend you to read all the customers feedback, descriptions and specs on the model you´re interested in before the purchase. You can also contact us and we will help you to find the right product that fits your height, weight and style of riding.

Can I get one of your production models in another length, width, flex or graphics?

Yes, we can build a customized snowboard for you, based on a production model. Check our Custom snowboards page.

New MBHC 158

This is the best board I have ever rode! I have been snowboarding for 36 years, this is the best thing that’s ever happened to my snowboarding addiction. On a scale of 1 to 5 , I’ll rate it a 6.66!!🤘🏻🤘🏻✔️. If you’re a bonedog you might not agree. I might buy another to have just in case. Basically if your not riding this board , your fuckin up, Scott Shumsky

Reconnecting to the Thrill

I recently picked up the Jeff Fulton MBHC Edition after seeing his name, as he is a personal acquaintance of mine from the beginning of my snowboarding days in 1984. My friends and I either worked at or hung out at Bikefactory in Bellevue, WA; Our Gotto shop for Snowboarding, Skateboarding and BMX bikes. We all were familiar with the MBHC Crew and rode Mt Baker often and was there at the beginning of the Legendary Banked Slalom. Jeff and friends were an inspiration to me. When I saw the board shape, specs and Jeff's review, I knew it was going to be my Reconnection to the Thrill and to MBHC. I plan to lay tracks at Mt. Baker for those that are not with us. Craig Kelly, Bob Barci, Heavy Keavy (Close friend of Bob's), Pat Quirke, to name a few whom I knew!

Perfect for pow, pillows & cliffs!

It's a great resort board for powder days. It floats amazingly in deep pow and feels effortless! No sore back legs. With the larger nose I find when I jump off cliffs or pillows it's way less likely to nosedive and tomahawk. Carving feels great and it holds up well on park jumps too.

WHOA

I'm a little biased and obviously love everything Moonchild but this is a special board. It's the first resort board I've ridden from Moonchild after being on reverse camber from other brands for years and this thing put an extra pop in my step. At only 158cm it handled my fat ass 6'1, 220lb frame and size 12 boots with ease and made the few pow landings I could find at the resort effortless due to the setback and additional surface in the nose. Never thought I would ride anything under a 159 wide again but this thing is lively and versatile af even for us bigger riders. Would be super tough to be disappointed in this thing.
